Legal Notice: The lifering logo and the words LifeRing Recovery, LifeRing Secular Recovery, and LifeRing Press are registered trademarks and service marks. To protect these marks, please observe the following points when making your own flyers or websites: Only the lifering logo in the designs shown on this page can be used for LifeRing services or literature. Please do not use lifering graphics with a different design. You may use the colors on this page or black-and-white or grayscale versions, but please do not use other colors. You may add your own identifying words or design to the lifering logo, so long as the basic look and feel of the lifering logo is maintained. For example, you may add a map of your state, or the name of your town or meeting or event. You may not remove the small "R" in a circle from the lifering logo. You may change its position relative to the graphic. The lifering logo should not be used merely for decoration or ornamentation. For example, do not make a chain of liferings to use as a decorative border. Do not use the logo as a button on a web page, except as a link to a LifeRing web page. You can use "LifeRing" or "LifeRing Recovery" or "LifeRing Secular Recovery" as the name of the organization on your flyers. Please use the abbreviation "LSR" only where space does not permit the full word "LifeRing." It does not matter legally whether you use the internal capital: LifeRing or leave it out: Lifering. The internal capital makes it easier for first-timers to catch on to the concept that we are a life-ring, as distinct from a lifer-ing. The logo and the word marks can be used only for services or goods that lie within the basic "Three-S" LifeRing philosophy: Sobriety, Secularity, and Self-Help. Use of the logo or the word marks implies affiliation with LifeRing Secular Recovery. If in doubt, consult the LifeRing Service Center. LifeRing Secular Recovery reserves the right to deny use of the logo and/or word marks if in its opinion such use would be contrary to the purposes for which LifeRing was chartered or would bring the name of the organization into disrepute.
